# ChooseCompute

> ChooseCompute is an evidence-backed US hardware decision and cross-store price comparison service for NAS systems and NAS hard drives. It helps people and AI agents choose what to buy, understand trade-offs, and choose where to buy an exact configuration.

Choose by need when the desired use case is known but the hardware is not. Use the database when an exact model, MPN, capacity, bay count, or specification is already known.

Catalog scope is limited to current new-condition turnkey desktop or tower NAS systems sold in the United States and current manufacturer-positioned 3.5-inch SATA NAS hard drives. Rackmount systems, DAS, DIY-OS barebones, used or refurbished products, surveillance drives, desktop-only drives, SAS drives, and datacenter-only drives are excluded.

The evidence snapshot contains 110 NAS configurations, 46 exact HDD SKUs, 24 checked NAS-and-drive bundles, five use cases, and 15 scenario-tier guides. The researched commerce set contains 520 exact product pages across 16 represented merchants, including 331 field-dated checked prices. Prices exclude tax and shipping unless explicitly stated. Affiliate relationships never affect product recommendations or price ordering.
