| Published firmware in the checked download table | 1.86 (2025-10-30)[1] Observation of the manufacturer download table; not a claim about the version installed in a shipped unit. |
Ownership

| US limited warranty | 2 years[3] Current Buffalo Americas warranty table; retain proof of purchase and observe region conditions. |
|---|---|
| Data recovery and replacement terms | Data is not covered by the hardware warranty[3] Recovery service availability is not a recovery guarantee; a separate backup remains necessary. |
Additional verified notes
Capacity-page footnotes, related benches and source conflicts recorded this round.
| Dedicated 210-page maximum power by capacity | Max 18W (2 TB); Max 24W (3, 4 TB)[6] LinkStation 210 dedicated US page. The 200-series family table still lists Max 24W for the 210 column. 6TB is not on the dedicated 210 power row. |
|---|---|
| Dedicated 210-page weight | 2.43 lbs[6] Slightly more precise than the family table 2.4 lbs; both retained. |
| Capacities listed on the dedicated 210 page vs family table | Dedicated page HDD sizes 2/3/4 TB; LS210D0601 6TB is on the 200-series family SKU table[6][1] Do not treat the older dedicated 210 page as proof that 6TB was withdrawn. |
| Dedicated 210-page AFP Time Machine footnote | Starting with macOS Tahoe (version 26), only existing Time Machine backups using AFP will continue; full AFP Time Machine support ends in the next major macOS release[6][2] Agrees with KB6060 LS200 not compatible for new macOS 26 Time Machine setups. |
| NAS Navigator for Windows in the 2026-09-11 download table | 3.1.6 (2026-08-07)[1] Utility version on the family download table; not the firmware inside a sealed retail unit. |
| Community / EU review SoC identification | Marvell ARMADA 370 (88F6707) 800 MHz dual-issue ARM[8][9][10] Matches the official 800 MHz dual issue ARM wording. Wiki dmesg used a non-stock SSD — not a factory HDD measurement. |
Exact product identity & open questions
- Manufacturer model
- LS210D0601[1]
- US factory configuration
- 6TB total across 1 HDD(s)[1]
- SoHo / B-suffix relationship
- US SoHo SKUs add a B suffix (for example LS220D0402B) and are a different catalog product[1]
- Current included HDD revision: Exact HDD model, recording method, workload rating and firmware supplied in current inventory are not guaranteed in the reviewed US documents.
- Undocumented expansion and filesystem details: Maximum memory, internal filesystem, snapshots and third-party application hosting are not established; no such capabilities are promised.
- Applicable independent test: No accepted original test of this exact factory-populated US capacity. GadgetSpeak timed copy-and-paste on a 2TB LinkStation 210 (documents 4.29GB in 5:00; video 59.14GB in 34:27; music 31.03GB in 25:06). eReviews tested a 3TB unit with ATTO/LAN charts that were not OCR'd. Those are not sequential scores for every capacity or for today's bundled HDD.
- Video ASR and frames: YouTube extraction failed this round. tCsgfaJBI9M appears to be an LS210 2TB listing video; dPhV43m-reI is Lon.TV LS720. No listening or frame claims.
- Fan presence conflict: eReviews.dk says the reviewed 3TB LS210 has no fan; Buffalo NAS Wiki lists a fan. Not resolved on a current US 2/4/6TB unit.
