TS-673A-8G: specifications and dated store comparison →A six-bay Ryzen NAS with two PCIe slots and QuTS hero support for storage workloads that justify planned upgrades.
Exact US MPN TS-673A-8G-US; official hardware table TS-673A-8G; 8 GB SODIMM DDR4; 6 x 3.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s, 3Gb/s.
Based on the current QNAP specification tables and 1 applicable original review. We have not tested this NAS ourselves. The hardware-page software tables are QTS 5.2.9 / QuTS hero h5.2.9 (version-bound). TS-673A is listed in Applicable Models on the separate QuTS hero h6.0.2.3591 notes dated 2026-08-24; that listing is not the h5.2.9 feature table. See evidence and test gaps ↓

Expandable six-bay business storage
A six-bay Ryzen NAS with two PCIe slots and QuTS hero support for storage workloads that justify planned upgrades.[1]
ZFS pools with appropriately sized RAM
Plan the array and client path around 10GbE: Optional via a PCIe adapter; 2.5GbE: 2(2.5G/1G/100M).[4]
You need integrated graphics for transcoding
The exact factory configuration and platform limits do not make this the safest default for that need: you need integrated graphics for transcoding.[1]

Living with it
Hardware, storage and network planning
Plan storage and networking together
Storage: 6 x 3.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s, 3Gb/s. Connectivity: 10GbE: Optional via a PCIe adapter; 2.5GbE: 2(2.5G/1G/100M). Advertised port speed is not a guarantee for one file transfer; drive count, RAID, protocol, client and switch can each become the limit.[1]
Read measured results with their setup
CyberQ’s hardware screenshot locks 8 GB non-ECC SODIMM (DLI Memory) in slot 2, CPU 2.2%, CPU 44C / system 29C / HDD 35–38C — that idle screenshot is not the stress run. Qfinder shows cyberq-673a on QuTS hero 6.0.0.3397 at 10G with Intel X540-AT2. AJA 10-bit YUV 1GB file 739/643 MB/s used that add-in 10GbE card and four Toshiba S300 AI HDDs in RAID5 (capacity unknown). Related, not factory 2.5GbE. The 32×200MiB PowerShell script is not a 32-camera endurance test; prose stress is CPU ~29% / RAM ~30% / system 28C, a different scene from the 2.2% screenshot. Delta 250W is PSU rating, not metered power.[4][1]
What still needs a real-world test
We have verified the specifications, but have not found an original test that we can reliably apply to this exact model. The advice above follows the documented features; performance, noise and long-term reliability are not independently established here.

The QNAP Store row is the historical 2026-09-10 identity-qualified listing with unknown price and stock; a later cookies-disabled Magento extract was not used as a live US offer. Questions before buying
Which TS-673A-8G configuration does this page cover?
It covers the exact US MPN TS-673A-8G-US. The selected official hardware-table heading is TS-673A-8G.[1][2][3]
Are drives included?
The official hardware table describes the platform. Store bundles can change, so confirm the exact seller listing and included drives or accessories before ordering.[1][2][3]
What network connection should I plan for?
The selected official configuration lists 10GbE: Optional via a PCIe adapter; 2.5GbE: 2(2.5G/1G/100M). A client, switch, cabling, protocol and storage array must all support the intended speed.[1]
Has ChooseCompute tested this NAS?
No. CyberQ documented 8GB RAM in a screenshot but measured AJA over an add-in 10GbE card, so those MB/s figures are not the factory 2.5GbE path.[4][1]
Is the listed price current?
Amazon/Newegg numeric rows keep their original 2026-09-10T01:06:35+00:00 observation times. The QNAP Store row is the historical 2026-09-10 identity-qualified listing with unknown price and stock; a later cookies-disabled Magento extract was not used as a live US offer.
