Exact product identity & open questions
- Independent test breadth: ComputerBase remains the only detailed exact-model lab test located. NASCompares DS423 pages are a reveal/spec comparison, not a throughput experiment. DS423+ reviews were excluded as a different Intel SKU.
- Current heavy-application behavior: Selected benchmarks use DSM 7.2. They do not establish current package availability, transcoding capacity, or long-term reliability. ChooseCompute has not tested this enclosure.
- Manufacturer application test conditions: Published SMB, Drive, Office and surveillance figures use different workloads and may use maximum supported RAM or an SSD volume. They are not simultaneous guarantees for the factory 2 GB configuration.
- US merchants besides Newegg: B&H, Best Buy, Adorama and Amazon PDPs were blocked or returned a bot interstitial on 2026-09-11. Historical rows keep their original checkedAt and are not treated as live prices.
- Video: No independent DS423 (non-plus) original video experiment was adopted. YouTube timedtext fetches returned empty bodies.
