UGREEN NASync DXP2800GT network attached storage system

Is the NASync DXP2800GT right for you?

Compact 10GbE file storage

The combination of one 10GbE port and M.2/U.2 support makes the DXP2800GT more of a small performance appliance than an entry two-bay NAS.[1]

Good fit

Two-bay systems with a fast flash tier

The exact configuration combines 8GB DDR4, 1 × 10GbE and 3.5-inch SATA HDD / 2.5-inch SATA SSD / M.2 NVMe.[1]

Good fit with planning

You need four-drive parity

Two front bays support Basic/JBOD/RAID 0/1, not four-drive RAID 5 or RAID 6. U.2 uses the same front positions.[1]

Hardware, software and ownership tradeoffs

01

Compact Ryzen storage with one 10GbE port

DXP2800 GT is a compact two-bay choice for fast network access and flexible x86 containers. Its 8GB DDR4 can expand to 64GB, and M.2 plus shared U.2 positions offer flash options. It still has only two front bays and one 10GbE port; SSD choice and RAID layout strongly affect speed.[1]

02

Measured performance

ComputerBase measured its HDD RAID 1 at 273.97 MB/s write and 247.22 MB/s read for a 5.9GB file; the separate mirrored SSD volume reached 614.67 and 604.65 MB/s. A 10GbE port alone does not make two HDDs deliver 1 GB/s.[6]

03

Power evidence belongs to this configuration

ComputerBase measured 15.3 W with HDDs asleep, 22.4 W spinning idle and 42.4 W writing. Mighty Gadget’s DXP4800 Plus power and transcoding examples are not measurements of this GT.[6]

Ugreen DXP2800 GT NAS Review vs NASync DXP4800 Plus

Updated Jun 7, 2026

Tested: DXP2800 GT with an unspecified SATA HDD; 10GbE negotiation failed in the reviewer’s SFP-to-RJ45 path, then a 2.5GbE fallback was used. U.2 untested.

Applies to: Exact DXP2800 GT for hardware/ports/RAID 0/1. DXP4800 Plus comparisons are a different SKU and CPU (Pentium Gold 8505).

Limits to keep in mind

  • UGREEN-supplied sample.
  • Author’s daily driver is DXP4800 Plus, sometimes on Unraid; those Plus numbers are not DXP2800 GT measurements.
  • No isolated 10GbE MB/s table extracted for the two-bay GT.
  • GT power, temperature and fan tests were explicitly pending. Stock RAM is non-ECC; no ECC or U.2 performance test.

Questions before buying

What does the performance evidence show?

ComputerBase measured its HDD RAID 1 at 273.97 MB/s write and 247.22 MB/s read for a 5.9GB file; the separate mirrored SSD volume reached 614.67 and 604.65 MB/s. A 10GbE port alone does not make two HDDs deliver 1 GB/s.[6]

Power evidence belongs to this configuration?

ComputerBase measured 15.3 W with HDDs asleep, 22.4 W spinning idle and 42.4 W writing. Mighty Gadget’s DXP4800 Plus power and transcoding examples are not measurements of this GT.[6]

What should I check before buying?

Choose the exact diskless model and RAM configuration, check full drive part numbers in the compatibility list, and budget for drives plus a separate backup. Dealer stock and price are dated observations; shipping and tax depend on your destination.[1][5]
