Real-world RAID 1 copies averaged about 200 MB/s with both the 5400 RPM and 7200 RPM pairs. Internal drives were RAID 1 only; no RAID 0 or second volume. Underside dual tray is not hot-swap and did not accept 2.5-inch disks.
Test setup, measurements & limitations
Dong Knows Tech UNAS 2 original test
Tested: UNAS-2-W; UniFi Drive 3.2.10; one week; first two 4 TB WD Red Plus 5400 RPM HDDs, then two 8 TB IronWolf 7200 RPM HDDs, both RAID 1. Ubiquiti Pro XG 8 PoE switch, native 2.5GbE NAS link; exact drive MPNs/client/file profile not stated.
Applies to: Direct UNAS 2 hardware. Numbers are that week-long sample, those disks, RAID 1 and 2.5GbE — not SSD, RAID 0 or later Drive 4.x.

- UniFi Drive provided snapshots (reviewer: up to 256 versions, daily), backups to UNAS/SMB/cloud, Time Machine and AD/LDAP. No VMs, download apps or media servers.Source location: Feature list and cons
Measurements reported by the reviewer| Measurement | Result | Conditions & source location |

Limits to keep in mind
- One sample and one week; chart does not isolate the two different drive pairs.
- Snapshot 256-version/daily and USB-backup limitations describe Drive 3.2.10, not a current permanent cap.
- Parent read the available original article and both original result charts; quiet/cool is qualitative.
