Plex and media

Original review reports successful hardware transcoding; official Docker/graphics/licensing requirements still apply.[5][3]

Good fit with setup

10GbE shared files

Original tests show fast sequential transfers, with lower rates for actual file copies.[4]

Good fit

Containers and VMs

Six-core CPU and 96GB expansion ceiling provide headroom, but the shipped configuration is 8GB.[1][2]

Living with it

Core i3 workloads, 10GbE and SSD cache

01

More Intel application headroom, with a 10GbE file path

DXP4800 Pro adds Core i3-1315U and an official 96GB memory ceiling to a four-bay, two-NVMe layout. It suits buyers who need more container or media headroom alongside 10GbE storage. Its extra CPU does not make mixed small-file copies reach synthetic sequential speeds.[1]

02

Measured performance

ITPro’s four-HDD RAID 5 reached 9.2 Gbit/s read and 8.1 Gbit/s write in Iometer; a real 25GB file reached 3.2 and 2.7 Gbit/s. These are bits per second, not gigabytes per second.[4]

03

Review identity and independence

TechRadar repeats a similar numerical test pattern with a unit error and is not counted as another independent experiment. TrustedReviews labels its article Pro but names Plus in the setup and chart filenames, so those results remain qualified related evidence.[8]

Ugreen NASync DXP4800 Pro review

Tested: Four 4TB Seagate IronWolf NAS HDDs in RAID 5; Dell PowerEdge Windows Server 2025 client on 10GbE with 9000-byte jumbo frames. Cache tests added two 480GB Kingston NVMe SSDs as mirrored read/write cache. Latest UGOS downloaded at setup; exact version not stated.

Applies to: Exact Core i3 Pro model; results depend on this RAID, client and jumbo-frame setup.

Tested: Title says DXP4800 Pro, one test-setup sentence says Plus and all inspected benchmark image filenames say Plus; four WD Red Plus RAID 5 plus two NVMe RAID 1; PC 5GbE.

Applies to: Related Pro/Plus evidence with unresolved tested-model identity; not an unambiguous exact-Pro benchmark.

Limits to keep in mind

  • One sentence names DXP4800 Plus for the disk layout.
  • 5GbE not 10GbE.
  • ATTO small-block ~8 MB/s is expected, not a NAS fault by itself.
  • Images show an IP path but no model identity. Retain the source conflict; do not silently resolve it as a typo.

Questions before buying

What does the performance evidence show?

ITPro’s four-HDD RAID 5 reached 9.2 Gbit/s read and 8.1 Gbit/s write in Iometer; a real 25GB file reached 3.2 and 2.7 Gbit/s. These are bits per second, not gigabytes per second.[4]

Review identity and independence?

TechRadar repeats a similar numerical test pattern with a unit error and is not counted as another independent experiment. TrustedReviews labels its article Pro but names Plus in the setup and chart filenames, so those results remain qualified related evidence.[8]

What should I check before buying?

Choose the exact diskless model and RAM configuration, check full drive part numbers in the compatibility list, and budget for drives plus a separate backup. Dealer stock and price are dated observations; shipping and tax depend on your destination.[1][9]
