An eight-bay, 96TB dual-parity desktop array fits large retention and backup sets while preserving familiar DSM operations.
Watch: Treat this as a high-capacity office appliance, not enterprise HA, immutable backup, or disaster recovery by itself.

Capacity and redundancy
The eight-drive pool can continue after two drives fail; this is availability, not high availability or an off-site backup.
Approximation: (8 − 2) × 16TB = 96TB. Filesystem formatting, system partitions, snapshots, and RAID implementation reduce displayed free space.
